Operation Christmas Child

This year our class (8F) has volunteered to fill 2 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Both boxes will be for 10-14 year old, one box for a boy, the other for a girl. Each student is asked to bring in $1.00 and at least one item for a box.

I will be collecting money and items next week on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (November 7-9th).

The class has bee divided into three with each group responsible for one of the following categories:

School Supplies: pencils, pens, crayons, pencil crayons, notebooks, colouring books, etc.

Toys and other gifts: dolls, soccer balls/baseballs, stuffed animals, socks, hair clips, cars, musical instruments, puzzles, jump ropes, etc.

Non-liquid hygiene items: Toothbrushes, bar of soap, wash cloths, combs, travel soap/toothbrush containers, etc.

Please do not bring in any food or candy,  liquids or gels, breakable items, standard playing cards, things that could melt or scare/harm a child!

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me either through email ( or contact the school.

Thank you for your help and contribution with this school initiative,

Lori Perry

Meet the Staff

A reminder to parents that this Thursday is Meet the staff night at East Wiltshire. I will be here to meet the parents of my home room students. There will be two sessions, the first beginning at 7pm and the second at 7:15/7:20pm.  For more information please look at the East Wiltshire school website.

Also, I am still collecting student fees. It would be great to get them in ASAP!

Thank you and I look forward to meeting you Thursday evening,

Mme Perry

Welcome, Bienvenue!

This homework blog is for both students and parents. Please bookmark this page on your home computer! You can also click on the ‘Follow’ icon on the bottom right corner of the site. If you do this then you will be emailed when this site is updated.

The homework blog is easy to use:

  1. Find your class page/tab on the top menu bar (in red).
  2. Click on the page/tab
  3. Voila! There is your homework!

For my the convenience of my homeroom I have linked the homework blog sites of their other teachers. The links are under the ‘Blogroll’ on the left side of the homepage.

The blog will updated regularly. When possible, worksheets, assignments, test information, etc. will be posted on the blog for easy access. This means that if you forget your worksheet at school, you can either a) print it off at home and complete, or b) use the computer to complete the worksheet in your scribbler! You’re welcome 🙂

The main page will be used for communication with my homeroom and their parents. General information will be posted there as necessary (ie: Student fees, Interviews, etc.).

Students: Have a question? You can email me. I will not promise that I will check my email every night….but I often do. And I always check it as soon as I arrive to school.

Parents: Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I can always be reached by phone at the school or feel free to send me an email.

Thank you,
Mme Perry
